For as long as I can remember health and wellness have always been an important part of my life. My family joked that I could run before I could walk, which sparked my passion for team sports. I started playing sports at the age of 4 and have tried every sport known to man. I have had amateur professional boxing and jujitsu matches and once was heading towards a career in professional surfing. I even did Irish dancing and ballet as a child .. but we all have seen my solid build, this body was not made for delicate sports. I found my love for exercising, CrossFit, and Olympic lifting in my early 20s and have never looked back. I work as a nurse full-time and value exercise as one of the most important things for your physical and mental well-being. Finding passion in exercise is key to a happy life and I hope that I can help you find that spark and joy when I’m coaching you never know you might get to see some of my amazing Irish dancing moves come out whilst taking a class. Let me help you find your love for health and well-being.
I have x2 chronic conditions and an auto-immune illness that play havoc with me on a daily, I got my first chronic condition at age 16 but have never let it stop me from doing what I love. I can go from being fully able one day to completely bedridden without notice, but this gives me a passion to keep going. I do believe when you have an illness or condition you cannot let it consume you and own you, you are not your illnesses. Sometimes we need to take a moment to recover but never give up the fight and zest for life. The thing that drives me is the benefits I get from exercise, life is meant to be lived and we are meant to move and exercise, it’s life’s dance of happiness and release. My bit of advice is never let a bad day determine your future.
I have been through my own fitness journey successfully moving away from obesity where I had many ups and downs and feel I can give an encouraging point of view for those that need the support. I am empathetic and driven to help you achieve your goals. I assess each person individually seeing how your body moves to help you get to your goals safely. I feel my background in the multitude of sports and exercises I have done can be adapted to any coaching style. My motivation is to help others get to their health and fitness goals and make it fun in the process.
